Ignite: VR therapy, meet your inner child.
Ignite is a powerful VR experience that makes you feel, self reflect, and meet your inner child. What does your mental health mean to you? What does self care look like to you? Words have weight, especially those you say to yourself. Go through a powerful VR experience that makes you feel, self reflect, and explore themes of inner child, trauma, depression, mental health and more. What makes you, you? What sparks joy in you? How far are you willing to go to protect that?
Personally, I consider this experience VR therapy. People will get to put back the sparks that they've lost and re-ignite their world.
Artist note: There is a lot of potential for personalizing specific contents in this experience to extend it across various themes in the future.

Can Augmented reality (AR) increase empathy?
With the desire to answer this question, I designed and explored the effects of an Augmented Reality (AR) experience in the context of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) for my undergraduate honors thesis (individual). The AR experience was built with SparkAR and user-tested within 4 months. Participants used the demo on their phones and could see the AR effects on their own faces while going through an experience of what it potentially would be like for persons with BDD.
I found very promising results - the AR experience did increase empathy for persons with BDD. Intrigued, I hope to continue exploring the effects of AR and how it can help increase empathy around stigmatized issues.
Augmented reality (ar) and animation
Flamy has been officially welcomed into the real world after 2 weeks! Using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Aero, Flamy was animated from sleeping to waking up and being the light of the world.
